Windows 11


Windows 11 was just unveiled and will be released sometime later this year. At first glance, Windows 11 looks pretty good. I won't lie, I like the redesign. I almost considered WANTING to use it. Then, I saw the system requirements. It only supports computers with Secure Boot and TPM 2.0. So to use this OS, you will need to make sure you have a very modern computer. Some computers as young as 3 years old, may not be able to use it. Keep that in mind if you want to upgrade. Also, Windows 10 will be supported until 2025 so there is no rush.

 

Part of the requirements for Windows 11 is TPM 2.0. TPM or Trusted Platform Module 2.0 is a special chip that acts as an alarm system. It makes sure the system has not been tampered with. This means that if the TPM chip or other type of TPM detects any tampering, your system will not boot. For a full look at TPM's, check out this article below:
